'LA NOUVELLE MUSIQUE'

Mix modern indie pop sensibilities with elements of retro French pop, dark, twangy surf guitar, and a vocal style that falls somewhere between Siouxsie Sioux and Francois Hardy.

Their music is rooted in cinematic psychedelia, with the lush orchestration on some of their songs reflecting a big screen aesthetic.

Singer/Bass Player - Joanna Beck is also a composer and performance artist who also creates electroacoustic music, sonic art, and has scored for theatre and film.

Guitar - Ian de Sylva - has releases with previous bands through Rough Trade Records and The Medicine Label.

Drums - Anastasia Pettinato

La Nouvelle Musique is a new collaboration between Joanna and Ian
who are married though haven't until now worked together musically..
